Your electricity is something you rely on each day for your routines and for enjoyment. So, when something goes wrong, it can be pretty frustrating trying to troubleshoot the problem or determine if there is an easy fix. At Mister Sparky by Wise Electric Control Inc., we believe there are a few instances in which you should always call an emergency electrician for assistance. Here are three of the most important ones:
- Water – Many of our appliances have the warning labels that they should not be submerged or be in use around water. It’s pretty easy to pass over these labels until one day something happens. If your hairdryer falls in the sink or your electric toaster cord ends up in the dish water, you may be in for a scary situation. Turn off your breakers and call an emergency electrician as soon as possible.
- Smoke – Have you noticed smoke coming from one of your electrical outlets? This most certainly indicates faulty wiring and could be the beginnings of an electrical fire. Again, turn off the breakers as quickly as possible, make sure there is no active fire, and call an emergency electrician right away.
- No Light – If you are the only house on the block without power and the electric company says there aren’t any outages, this could indicate that there is something wrong with your home’s wiring and circuits. Calling an emergency electrician will allow you to safely determine the cause of the problem and get your power working again safely.
